There are so many wedding car hire companies ranging from large establishments to smaller family run businesses but who do you choose and how do you actually go about booking your cars?
When you book with AM Wedding Cars, you just have to take one look at our cars to see how loved and looked after they are! This will definitely put your mind at ease knowing you will be treated with the same care when we transport you on your wedding day.
So, here are the essential things you need to think about before you book your wedding cars.
How many cars do i need?
If you are on a budget or have a smaller more intimate wedding, then just the one car would be perfect. Usually for the bride and father of the bride to be transported to the ceremony or wedding venue. The same car would wait for you during your ceremony and be ready to drive you newlyweds to your reception venue.
If you have a bridal party with your bridesmaids and mother of the bride then you will need to get them to your reception location too. We can tailor our packages to your needs so extra cars can be added to suit your needs.
Who should travel in which car?
It is traditional for the bride to travel with her father and the mother of the bride to travel with the bridesmaids. You may like to have the groom travel with his ushers too but you don't have to stick to these traditions. Our cars and packages are bespoke to you.
How long do i need the car for?
It depends on your wedding and location. You may have your wedding and reception at the same venue and you will definitely want a few pictures with the car as your backdrop. Generally, our wedding parties would need the cars for around 3 hours. This is usually plenty of time from pick up to the ceremony to reception and have plenty of beautiful pictures along the way!
What if the ceremony and reception are at the same place?
This is no problem for us. We can still wait for you to get married and use the cars for your newlywed pictures. It is our pleasure to be a part of your special day!
Do the cars come with a chauffeur?
Of course! You don't need to worry yourself with navigating to your wedding. Our drivers will welcome you into the car as you sit back and relax and enjoy the ride.
When do i need to arrive at the ceremony?
The groom and his party would need to be early to greet the guests. Usually 45 minutes pre wedding is good. The mother of the bride, maid of honour and bridesmaids arrive around 10 minutes before the ceremony to watch the bride and her father arrive at around 5 minutes early. How exciting!
Usually, with a registry office, you will need to arrive around 15 mins early for your interview. The registrar will instruct you on this when you confirm your ceremony time.
It is always best to be early as we can always do a few laps around the venue. If your photographer is waiting to take some shots of you as you arrive you may want to factor in a few minutes extra for this.
What about dressing the car?
This is what makes the car bespoke to you. We will dress the car with ribbons and bows to match your colour theme. The bits that you don't see, the "behind the scenes" are the cars being cleaned and polished to a high standard with leading car care products inside and out! This happens for every wedding.
You will be noticed on your journey and turn heads as you are driven in style!

How much does it cost to hire a wedding car?
This depends on your wedding needs. Factors for us to consider include the pick up and drop off locations and the church/venue/reception location. Our prices start from around £150 - £200 and increase with the model of the car and the journey and wedding requirements. We do have package offers so be sure to take a look at those! Click here
When do i need to pay?
We understand that paying for your wedding can get expensive so we try to make it as easy as possible. Usually our deposits are between £50 - £100 per car and the balance payment would be due six weeks prior to your day. Some wedding parties like to pay off a little here and there too. This is no problem to us.
